Falling in Love on the Fourth of July #SixSunday

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday: Where writers share six sentences from their published or unpublished books.

In this snippet from LOVE DELIVERED, my recently-released novella, it’s Fourth of July and Pete and Bianca are ready to celebrate. Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check back all this week for "lawn chair updates" and pictures as residents of the real-life small town  (Catonsville) in this story claim their spots along the parade route--two weeks before the parade!!

She pulled into his driveway and parked her car on the grass as he instructed. Looking up, she spotted him carrying cases of sports drinks out his front door. She smiled, and her whole body warmed at the sight of him. The muscles in his tanned arms bunched and flexed as he set the drinks on a cooler at the bottom of the steps.
He spotted her and jogged to her car with a wide smile on his face. Her heart skipped a beat.

I really love this excerpt. I think it's always interesting to see how characters react to seeing their significant other when the significant other doesn't know they're looking. It's just a nice look inside their minds! Great six sentences!
